Anyway, so if we were really getting together and having coffee today, I'd tell you that even though time is flying and it's hard for me to believe that it's the end of August, I really truly am ready for fall. We had a hard, hard summer folks. While we made the most of it, and did manage to find small and manageable ways to have some family fun, I am ready to put this season behind me. I'm glad we get to take all the life-lessons we learned with us as we move into fall, but I am ready to put summer and all it's toughness behind me.
After I finished complaining, I'd tell you that I finished a really good book. The kind of book that you can't put down. The kind of book that makes you feel like she (the author) was totally reading your thoughts while she was writing her book. If you feel like seeing if she was reading your thoughts, click here, then grab your favorite pen and huge box of kleenex because you'll need both! (I finished this book by her, as well)
Then I'd tell you that I really want to make some of these bags. It looks like such a fun and mindless project to do while I watch Call The Midwife for the bazillionth time. Plus, I have so, so, so many thank-you gifts to give right now, I feel like these would be the perfect gift to make.
And because I am so proud of myself and feeling so good, I would tell you that we are back on our Clean Eating kick. I'd also tell you that even though I've been on this whole eating plan thing for the past few weeks and am actually really loving doing it again, (and can't remember why we stopped in the first place?) I would still love to make this peach cobbler and this Strawberry Cobbler and these potatoes.
And now, I need to shove off. With school starting in seven days I am trying to make the most of every single minute with the kids and trying to savor these last few days of summer--much to their chagrin I might add!! Thanks for having coffee with me today! I always like doing this!
