Virtual Cup Of Coffee.

Hey! Happy Tuesday! Yep, I am still using my $1.00 reusable Starbucks cup. I absolutely love this cup. Pretty sure it's paid for itself four times over already! Of course I have yet to actually bring it to Starbucks to get it refilled.....

So for starters today, I have to tell you about how I bought composition books to document what's going on in each of the kids' lives this year. I've been thinking about doing it for a few years now, and I finally decided that this is the year I am going to start.

Nothing super long or fancy as far as entries go, just stuff like what they did that day, or what funny thing they said, what their current favorites are, how much I love them, what I wish for them in the future etc, etc. In short, just enough to capture who they are a bit while documenting their year so that they can maybe one day read about it with their kids.

On a sidenote,  I also thought they'd (the notebooks) be a great place to save all their ticket stubs, or the programs from their school plays etc because I like to save those, but I never know how or where to store them. Now I do! Now the only question is: do you think I can keep up with it?!?!?

Oh! Before I forget, did I tell you about these cookies?? No, they're not quite as good as a regular chocolate chip cookie, but they'll definitely do-- especially at only 30 cals a cookie!

Speaking of food........have you seen this?? Eight crockpot meals assembled in one hour. Genius! I am so on board with this. Especially because we're on a huge crockpot kick these days. Quite often dinner's only on the table because of the blessed thing. Now all I need to do is get to the store to get the ingredients........then carve out some time to assemble the meals.........then remember I have the meals! Ha!

Remember my sewing lesson from last week?? Yeah.  That actually went pretty well! Take a look:

While these little gems are not perfect, nor do they even border on the verge of good as far as my sewing skills go, I am feeling inspired to do more of this whole sewing thing. Nothing fancy. Just little projects like more of these dishtowels. Will I ever be a great sewer? Oh good gravy no! But if I can hold my own on a few projects here and there, then I'll be one happy camper. And if it keeps me out of Target, then Marty will be one happy camper!

Other than that, there isn't a whole lot to share. We have still managed to escape any cold or flu thank goodness and knock on wood! We've really been enjoying winter this year which is something totally new for us. We've managed to get outside for at least 30 minutes (if not more) just about every single day since Christmas vacation--awesome. Even Meghan is on board with the whole outdoors thing. Amazingly! Oh! We watched a really good family movie the other night called Amazing Love. It had all five of us glued to it. So the next time you walk past a Redbox, rent it. You won't regret it.

And with that......I need to get a move on. We're in dire need of some groceries. Ever feel like all you do is grocery shop?!?!?

  2. I am so glad I read this. I have been doing a low-carb deal and getting coffee only at Starbucks. Duh. Never thought of a refillable cup to save money. Smart!
